Auf der Insel Gartenfeld in der Spandauer Siemensstadt entsteht in den nächsten Jahren ein neues Stadtquartier in Berlin: Das Neue Gartenfeld. Hier haben wir Anfang 2020 zwei größere Baugrundstücke erworben und sind als Teil der Planungsgemeinschaft "Das , Auf der Insel Gartenfeld in der Spandauer Siemensstadt entsteht in den nächsten Jahren ein neues Stadtquartier in Berlin: Das Neue Gartenfeld. Hier haben wir Anfang 2020 zwei größere Baugrundstücke erworben und sind als Teil der Planungsgemeinschaft "Das Neue Gartenfeld" an der gemeinsamen Quartiersentwicklung beteiligt. Lage Das von den Spandauer Schifffahrtskanälen umschlossene Gartenfeld grenzt an den Ortsteil Haselhorst und an die Bezirke Reinickendorf (im Norden) und Charlottenburg (im Osten). Das Neue Gartenfeld wird im nördlichen Teil der Insel auf dem ehemaligen Industriestandort von Siemens entstehen. Wo jahrzehntelang für den Weltkonzern der Elektroindustrie gearbeitet und gelebt wurde, entsteht nach langem Stillstand neuer Wohnraum ? mit ca. 3.700 Wohneinheiten und mehr als 600 Gewerbeeinheiten auf rund 31 ha Baufläche. Gleichzeitig wird hier eine Vision realisiert: ein Quartier, in dem durch intelligente Lösungen ein nachhaltiger, innovativer und durchmischter Lebensraum angeboten werden kann. Durch die besondere Insellage innerhalb Berlins bieten sich an diesem Ort also einerseits Möglichkeiten innovativer Planungskonzepte, andererseits Qualitäten wie die unmittelbare Nähe zum Wasser und der städtische Bezug. Verantwortlich sind der Senat von Berlin, der Bezirk Spandau, zwei Genossenschaften, kommunale Wohnungsbaugesellschaften, Baugruppen und Bauträger. Infrastrukturen vor Ort Damit für diese Entwicklung die richtigen Bedingungen geschaffen werden können, wird Das Neue Gartenfeld ganzheitlich betrachtet: Infrastrukturen der Bereiche Energie, Wasser, Logistik und Abfall, Mobilität und Digitalisierung werden als vernetzte Systeme behandelt. Auf technische und soziale Fragen werden auf diesem Wege Lösungen gefunden, die im hohen Maße ökologisch, effizient und offen für Partizipation der Bürger*innen sind. In dem Bereich Mobilität wird so ein eigenständiges Infrastrukturnetz mit innovativen Mobilitätsformen und digitalen Anwendungen verbunden. Neben der eigenständigen Mobilität im Quartier gewährleistet ein vierstufiges Erschließungskonzept die Anbindung von und nach außerhalb, also den Anschluss an die Gesamtstadt. Durch das Ziel einer möglichst autoarmen Fortbewegung innerhalb des neuen Wohnviertels liegt ein besonderer Fokus auf der Aktivierung von und dem Anschluss an das öffentliche Nahverkehrsnetz. Neben einem breiten Servicenetzwerk werden Kitas und ein Schulcampus mit Grundschule und integrierter Sekundarschule realisiert. Dadurch sind wichtige soziale Infrastrukturen gegeben, die den Bedarf im und um Das Neue Gartenfeld decken und die Lebensqualität im Quartier gewährleisten. Nicht nur unterschiedliche Wohn-, sondern auch Gewerbe- und Dienstleistungsangebote werden auf verschiedenste Menschen und ihre Bedürfnisse reagieren. Einen anderen Beitrag zur hohen Lebensqualität kann der starke Bezug zum Wasser leisten ? durch die öffentliche Zugänglichkeit zu den Kanalufern geht dieser nicht verloren, sondern prägt weiterhin den lokalen Charakter. Lage im Quartier Unsere Grundstücke liegen direkt am "Boulevard" mit verschiedenen Gewerbeeinheiten im Erdgeschoss. Ebenfalls am Boulevard gelegen ist die städtebaulich markante Belgienhalle, die als Überbleibsel der Industriegeschichte des Ortes ein kleines historisches Zentrum bildet.
